Jack and Jill

Many people know "Jack and Jill, went up a hill, to fetch a pail of water" only as a rhyme, but it exists as a song also! Here's Jack and Jill song as a short animated video. (I don't think wells are built up on a hill in real world, though.)

Here is another version. The lyrics and the tune is a bit different than in the previous one.

One more... again, the lyrics and the tune are a bit different. People seem to get very creative with this song, adding to it all kinds of stuff.

One time, searching for Jack and Jill song on Youtube, I also stumbled upon a Sesame Street clip... It is not a song at all, but I think it'll give you a good laugh: Kermit the Frog from Sesame Street interviews Jack about going up the hill. But he needs someone else to go with him to fetch that pail of water... and to tumble down. Who's going to get to go?

The lyrics

Jack and Jill went up the hill
To fetch a pail of water.
Jack fell down and broke his crown,
And Jill came tumbling after.

Up Jack got, and home did trot,
As fast as he could caper,
To old Dame Dob, who patched his nob
With vinegar and brown paper.

Jill came in and she did grin
To see his paper plaster,
Mother, vexed, did scold her next,
For causing Jack's disaster.

There exist alternative lyrics also.
